4th Quarter featured authors are Kate DiCamillo, E.B. White, and Jerry Spinelli. Directions for the report are reposted in the 3/21 entry below.

GENERAL INFORMATION

*Posts will include upcoming test dates.  We no longer have weekly Greek/Latin roots.  Please refer to your student's planner for daily assignments.

4/2/12 MISSING BOOKS!!

I have begun to notice the classroom library dwindling and there are several books missing from the shelves.  I know these sometimes make their way home and are mixed up with personal libraries.  If you happen to notice any of the following books at home with my name in the front cover - returning them would be appreciated!

We are currently learning about fairy tales in Reading.  Students will be working in groups to create a fractured fairy tale.

The next Unit Test in Reading will be April 17 covering the concepts of Main Idea & Details and Summarizing.

Unit 3 Spelling Test on Friday (Jan. 27)

New authors for this quarter's extra credit report are posted.  Email me if you need the directions sent home.

We are finishing Hatchet this week.  Upcoming projects include Biographies of Saints (each student will choose a Saint or Blessed and write a biographical report) and the class will begin reading Bridge to Terabithia by Katherine Paterson.
