- Next Book Report (an oral presentation) is due February 6, 7, and 9. Check the syllabus for details which I will also go over with the students.
- We are studying "drama" for the next few weeks. I will present a history of theater from the Greeks to modern times. Students will take notes for test and quizzes.
- They worked in groups this week to write stage directions for a scene from the play The Lady and the Tiger.
- These same groups will write a short one-act play.
- We will finish this unit by role reading the Phantom Tollbooth.
Vocabulary quiz over Unit 6 words will be on Wednesday, Jan. 18.
I handed out the words and directions today (1-11-12) for the next vocabulary story which is due on Wednesday, Feb. 1. This is a TEST grade and late papers will not be accepted.
