Welcome to my art page!!
In art class we will be studying different artists, time periods, and movements. We will be working with a variety of mediums, which keeps things interesting. Everything from tempera paint, oil pastels (one of my personal favorites), watercolors, molding clay, chalk pastels, and charcoal.
The younger grades (Pk-3rd) focus a bit more on improving motor skills, drawing using more detail, and exercises to help with coordination.
Older students will delve deeper into art history and more complicated concepts (proportion, perspective, and ways to evaluate art).
I do grade student work from 2nd grade on up to 8th. This helps motivate students to give their best, and makes them more accountable for their level of effort.
The grading scale is as follows:
A- 94-100
B- 93- 86
C- 85-76
D- 75 and below
