The purpose of our class is both to learn and to practice the tech skills which students use to accomplish the tasks which are assigned to them in school and to lay the foundations for the tech skills they will need in the future.

We concentrate on manipulating images, audio, and text, searching for and identifying reliable info, collaborating and communicating with others, and compiling and presenting what we have learned through audio processing, image processing, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation tools such as MS Office, NeoOffice, Google Docs, iPhoto, iTunes and Pages.

Our class meets once each week for 45 minutes. Students work in pairs (two students as a team) on the projects assigned in each week's class. Click the links in the menu on the left to view the lesson for each class date.

On the report card, the grading for our class is done on the NIS (not-satisfactory, improving, satisfactory) scale. Such grades are not part of the GPA.

Parents, when you have questions or concerns about anything related to our class, please contact me by email at bshields@standrewsch.org or by phone at 817.924.8963 x2011.
