“How can we live in harmony? First we need to know we are all madly in love with the same God.” St. Thomas Aquinas
Dear Saint Andrew Family, January 28, 2019
Happy Catholic Schools Week to everyone! Today we celebrated students and began the day with a student-led pep rally. Our students should be enjoying their evening without having to worry about homework.
Today is the feast day of St. Thomas Aquinas, Doctor of the Church. Please read for news and updates.
Blessing of Saint Andrew Foyer/Open House
Yesterday, after the blessing by Fr. Jim, we had the honor of welcoming our church and school community to our school via our new Saint Andrew Foyer. A very special thank you goes to the following people for making the new reception area look so beautiful:
Mrs. Angela Wonderly – Artist/Orchid Arrangement
Mrs. Leticia Cole – Interior Designer
Mrs. Darlene Bauchman Lopez – Monitor
Mr. Lalo Martinez – Cross
Mr. Ramon Macias III – Our Lady of Guadalupe Tile Mosaic
Mr. Andrew Garvett – Spirit Shop (coming soon)
The Open House was a huge success! Thank you for visiting and for recommending SAS to your friends and family. We had a great turn-out and we look forward to a healthy enrollment number for next year.
Speaking of enrollment, this Thursday, the 31st, is the deadline to decline enrollment for the 2019-2020 academic year. If you are not returning to SAS please notify Mrs. Dyer, Registrar, in writing. Otherwise, your student will be automatically re-enrolled for next year. Thank you for trusting us with your child’s education. It is a responsibility we take greatly.
Catholic Schools Week (CSW) Continues
Please see the Wildcat Weekly for daily CSW events. Tomorrow we will celebrate all faculty and staff. Thank you for supporting your teachers/staff and most especially, for praying for them and their families.
If you haven’t visited the book fair yet, please do! It is open from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. If you are visiting the book fair after school please park in the gym parking lot. The fair will close this Friday at 1 p.m. Thank you!
After-school Dismissal Process
Once again, we want to thank you for your support with our new dismissal process. Every day it is getting better and better. I especially want to thank my staff for their hard work. Our students have been doing great also!
Please join us for Mass this Wednesday, the 30thof January, at 8:15 a.m. Mrs. Louden’s 2-2 class will be in charge of the liturgy. Please do not forget to send your student in Mass attire.
Personal Note and Thank You
I hope you have a wonderful week. Many blessings to you and your beautiful families.
Love and Prayers,
Mrs. Macias J
