“How can we live in harmony? First we need to know we are all madly in love with the same God.” St. Thomas Aquinas
Dear Saint Andrew Family, September 9, 2019
Welcome to the 23rd week of Ordinary Time. This is IOWA Test week and the great thing about this week is that there is no homework assigned! Thank you for sending your students to school early and ensuring that they are rested. Please read the following newsletter for news and updates.
As mentioned above, IOWA testing continues this week. Thank you for refraining from pulling your students for an Early Dismissal and for sending them to school on time. We are grateful for your support!
We will celebrate Mass this Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2019, at 8:15 a.m. Fr. John Mark will be our celebrant and our 6-3 students (Mrs. Lopez) will be in charge of the liturgy. Our 4K students will celebrate Mass on Thursday, Sept. 12, 2019, at 8:00 a.m. Please do not forget to send your student in Wildcat Standard. Parents should sit in the choir loft. Come celebrate the Eucharist with us!
As always, thank you for your generous donation of a canned good/food item to the food pantry every Mass day if you can.
Popsicles on the Playground 3K – 5K
This Friday, the 13th, we will have Popsicles on the Playground for all 3K – 5K students! Please stay a while and meet other fellow Wildcat families.
We will have an Indoor Dismissal this Friday, the 13th. Parents may pick up in the classrooms this Friday.
On spirit days (every Friday) students are allowed to also wear Nolan Catholic High School spirit wear. The Wildcats always support the Vikings!
Mid-School Night at Nolan
This Friday, the 13th of September, is Middle School Night at Nolan Catholic HS. Mid-school students can attend the football game free of charge with a Saint Andrew spirit shirt. Activities will be held for students but a parent permission slip must be signed. Please look for that permission slip in the Wildcat Weekly.
Personal Note and Thank You
I hope you are having a wonderful week. We are expecting the birth of our third grandson in October. Please keep Conner Crew and his family in your prayers. He will be born with a cleft palate and my son and daughter-in-law will be meeting with the surgical team this month. Thank you for your prayers and please know that you are always in mine. May God bless you and your beautiful families.
Love and Prayers,
Mrs. Olga C. Macias
