Admission of New Students

Saint Andrew Catholic School is a parochial school established by and for the goals and values of the Catholic Church and Saint Andrew parish. Because of the special religious goals and character of our school, we accept applications for new students from Saint Andrew parish families first and Catholic students from other parishes next. If space is available, we accept non-Catholic students whose parents share our goals and belief in the value of a religious education and moral training.

To Apply for Admission:

1. Submit the online New Student Application for Admission form. The additional ACTION ITEMS necessary to complete the application are listed on the Application with the due dates. A summary list appears below.

2. To apply for the Catholic Tuition Rate, please complete the Saint Andrew Parish Catholic Tuition Rate Request for qualifying Saint Andrew parish family or submit the Parish Certification Form Catholic Tuition Rate Request For Members Of Parishes Other Than Saint Andrew.

3. Financial aid is available from the Bishop’s Scholars Fund and Saint Andrew Catholic School based upon need. To apply for financial aid, please submit the Private School Aid Service (PSAS) (The school code is FTWH) form by March 1^st. This form is available at the link above or in the school office. The school code is FTWH.

Student Applications for Admission or Re-Enrollment for the school year of 2012-2013 will be processed according to the following schedule:

February 6 & 7, 2012: Returning students (currently enrolled in 2011-2012)

February 8 & 9, 2012: Siblings of Returning students (currently enrolled in 2011-2012) and students currently enrolled at Saint Andrew parish - The Learning Center

February 12, 2012: Saint Andrew Parish families

February 13, 2012: Other Catholic parishes families

February 14, 2012: Non-Catholic families

The ACTION ITEMS as listed on the Application need to be completed in the school office:

a. Pay application fee. The application fee is non-refundable.
b. Schedule time for student’s placement screening and pay screening fee.
c. Please bring the following documents with you:

Copy of student’s birth certificate
Copy of student’s baptismal certificate, if applicable
Copy of student’s First Eucharist certificate, if applicable
Copy of student’s most recent report card
Transfer/exit form, if coming from another Catholic school in the Diocese of Fort Worth. This form is available from the principal of the exiting school.
Completed Permission to Publish form
Completed Parent Questionnaire for each new student: PreSchool Grades 1-8
Completed Parent Questionnaire for each Kindergarten student: Kindergarten

To finish the application process, the following items need to be received in the school office:

a. By February 15^th:

Completed Teacher Observation form
Copy of student’s most recent report card
Copy of student’s standardized tests
Copy of student’s school transcript

c. By June 15^th:

Copy of student’s final report card

d. By August 1^st:

Completed Health Report form
Copy of student’s current immunization record (As stated by the Texas State Department of Immunizations, "A student shall show acceptable evidence of vaccination prior to entry, attendance, or transfer to a child-care facility or public or private elementary or secondary school in Texas.")
Medication Permit, if applicable
