National Junior Honor Society
The NJHS is a nationwide organization whose purpose is to create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote leadership, to develop character and to encourage citizenship. NJHS is offered to 7th and 8th graders only. The selection process of the Saint Andrew Catholic School chapter is as follows:
- Students who have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 for the previous 6 quarters are invited to apply to become members.
- Applications are reviewed by a 5-member faculty committee, with equal consideration given to each of the five qualities held in high regard by NJHS: scholarship, service, leadership, character and citizenship.
