Annual Fund
Dear Saint Andrew Catholic School Supporter:
Since 1954 Saint Andrew Catholic School has been one of the premier elementary schools in Fort Worth. To keep this spiritual and academic tradition alive SAS sponsors an Annual Fund. Tuition alone pays only 80% of our 4.1 million dollar budget. Parish investments, all fundraising (including this Annual Fund), and foundation grants provide the additional 20%. We must make up this gap to provide a first rate learning environment for our students.
The priorities for 2011-12 are:
• iPads
• Promethean board technology
• Provide training for teachers to enhance technology use in the classroom
• Additional LCD classroom projectors
• Much needed tuition assistance in these hard economic times for our SAS families
The Archie and Viola Meinerz Family Foundation has graciously awarded SAS a $25,000 grant to double all new or increased gifts to the Annual Fund. So I ask that each family consider a new or increased gift that reflects the educational and spiritual value their child, grandchild, or themselves have received from SAS or any other Catholic School. Be a stakeholder of Catholic School education and support SAS at any level you find comfortable for your family. This donation might be $10/month or $100/year or $500/month or $5000/year. Remember your gift is more than a check. Your gift is a witness to your faith in Catholic Schools.
Last year we raised $212,000 with 438 donors. Of our donors, 7% were SAS Alumni, 12% were SAS Grandparents, and 6% were Saint Andrew’s Parishioners. The participation rate of the SAS Faculty and Staff was 100% and 63% of the SAS Families participated in last year’s annual fund. Every gift is significant in raising our percentages to secure more grants from foundations and corporations.
