Patricia Trutter

Hello! My name is Patti Trutter. It is my pleasure to be the Reading Support Teacher at Saint Andrew Catholic School! It is imperative that children have a solid foundation on which to build their reading skills! My mission is to actively engage our students in this foundation process so they become better equipped as they strive to be their personal best! It is my belief this is best achieved within a positive, nurturing, and Christ-centered environment that promotes the spiritual and academic growth of the whole child.
This will be my fifth year at Saint Andrew and my 34th year in education. I have taught in the private and public school setting with a concentration in grades pre-K4 through 3rd grade. Teaching reading is MY PASSION!
I graduated Magna Cum Laude and received my B.S. in Elementary Education from Millikin University in Illinois. The concentration of my masters’ hours has been in reading research and gifted/talented. I am ESL certified in the state of Texas. I have been honored as a Disney Teacher nominee and Teacher of the Year in the Burleson ISD.
I am the proud "parent" of three college graduates. My two daughters continue to “walk” their faith as they work with and minister to our Catholic youth. My son-in-law also continues to "walk" his faith as an employee of MV Transportation currently based out of Dallas.
It is a blessing to be part of the Saint Andrew Catholic School Family!!
